Portfolio Carousel for Elementor

Portfolio Carousel

A carousel is the polite way to show a portfolio: it presents your best projects a few at a time and lets people swipe for more, instead of dropping a wall of thumbnails on the page. This is the Portfolio Carousel widget from the Magical Products Display add-on for Elementor, when to use it, how to add it, and what to feature.

Why a carousel for a portfolio

A full gallery is great on a dedicated work page, but on a home or services page it competes with everything else. A carousel keeps the section tight, leads with your strongest projects, and invites a swipe. It shows momentum, plenty of work, without forcing a visitor to scroll past all of it before reaching your pitch.

Frequently asked questions

When should I use a portfolio carousel instead of a grid?
Use a carousel to feature a curated set of projects on a home, services, or about page, where space is shared. Use a full grid on a dedicated portfolio page where visitors expect to see everything.
Can I link each portfolio item to a case study?
Yes. Each item can link to a project page or case study, and you can show a category label and a short caption on hover or below the image.
Is the portfolio carousel responsive?
Yes. Set how many items show per view on desktop, tablet, and mobile, with swipe support and optional autoplay, arrows, and dots.
How many projects should I feature?
Six to ten strong projects keep the carousel feeling like a highlight reel. Beyond that, send visitors to a full portfolio page.
Will it slow down my page?
Not if you use optimized images sized to the slot and a caching plugin. Consistent, compressed images keep the carousel fast.
